"No Bruce Lee! You're dead, remember?"
Gangster life always fascinates me and certainly scares me, I have seen plenty of this type of movies and almost all of them shows betrayal at one point or another. Trust should be only kept to yourself. Being a gangster can be very dangerous, even more if you're a wannabe gangster — that shit could kill you, so don't go walking around your neighborhood throwing signs like a retard who doesn't know how to speak. Instead try to attend school, it will make your future a little less dark.
Welcome to (virtual) Hong Kong, Sleeping Dogs is about an undercover cop infiltrating one of the triad organization and making his way on to the top. Think of it as Infernal Affairs or its American remake The Departed, both great films by the way. Sleeping Dogs was supposed to be True Crimes: Hong Kong but Activision canned it, crazy move since they already put a lot of resources in it. But Square-Enix put it back on track. Sleepings Dogs is not in any way groundbreaking, Wei Shen fights like Batman, drives like Rico, and moves like Ezio. Its mechanics were burrowed heavily on other titles and implements them rather shallow.
However it always boils down to the fun factor and this game, when put together, is genuinely fun. Visually its looks splendid (especially at rainy nights) and voice-acting is spot on. Square-Enix did a great job porting this on PC and still updating it with love.
