Do you like or really love rats? If yes, then this game was meant for you. Dishonored lets you embrace these lovely creatures. Be it in the streets, basements, or even in bedrooms. You can find them everywhere, sometimes in packs and other times alone waiting for your pitiful soul to treat them as a pet. Unfortunately, you cannot do that or even simply cuddling them for a short period but you can however take control or be one of them, experiencing what is it to be a rat. That includes running through holes and peeping under maids' skirts, never knew rat life can actually be this fun and thanks to this game, I too can taste it. Rat enthusiast will really be pleased, believe me.
And what's great is that the rat simulator was just a chunk of one of the cool gameplay elements of Dishonored so even a normal person won't be disappointed. Dishonored has Bioshock's engaging storytelling and awesome abilities while giving players a Deus Ex-esque freedom on missions, think of it as a fusion between the two. Dishonored is far from a sandbox game but it has quite large levels and a single mission takes a lot of time if you want to completely clear it, i.e. clearing numerous side quest, finding hidden items, and slaying every enemy. And what's even better is giving you freedom on how to clear them, play with what fits your style.
Dishonored's visuals is very easy on the eyes and artistically exquisite, kind of resembles Valve's games. If not for the UE3 logo, It could have easily mistaken running on a Source engine; It does not look and feel like its running on Unreal Engine at all. You won't be disappointed buying Dishonored, even when paying full price — first of all is you'll receive a rare and spectacular game and on top of that is a rat simulator. It's like getting two games for the price of one, really worth every penny.
