Syndicate is a reboot of the top-down tactical shooter with the same name which was released decades ago by a now-defunct game studio, Bullfrog (they've also developed numerous outstanding simulation and god games).
Just like the yet-to-be-released XCOM reboot, Syndicate is a FPS and has nothing similar with the original in terms of gameplay. The reboot is developed by Starbreeze who also made the critically acclaimed Riddick: Escape from Butchers Bay. I can't say the same with Syndicate - it's shallow and feels rushed, also has mediocre visuals with overused bloom. I would recommend this game if you don't have anything else to play; Otherwise, skip it.

Downs
>Level Design (bad design especially on boss encounters; uninspired)
>Visuals (bloom too bright, poor textures)
>Forgettable Story
>FOV (too small and nonadjustable)
>Weapon Size (almost takes half of the screen)
>Mouse Sensitivity/Accuracy (I can't set it to the right speed, always a bit off)
