Just got my hands on Lara Croft and The Old Man C=. It's a departure from the main series, hence no Tomb Raider in title. The game's story is standalone, Lara finds the lost mirror and discovers that she was traced by a group of mercenaries aka the bad guys. They took the mirror and upon lifting it unleashes Xolotl (the real bad guy), who was trapped inside for thousands of years, now Lara needs to uplift the curse and again imprison Xolotl with the help of Mr. Totec and call it a day.
Gameplay wise, it's far from previous installments. First, it has a fixed isometric view(diablo-like camera). Lara has all the basic actions with the addition of a grappling hook; Aside from a dual handgun she can also equip weapons raging from a rifle to an automatic shotgun and a spear which can be thrown at enemies or stick on walls to advance through the level. The game also features offline and online(will be implemented on the next update# coop multiplayer where teamwork is a must, the second player controls Totec.
This is the Tomb Raider I've been waiting for, great gameplay and visuals. Better than the main series imo and excellent challenges makes you want to replay the level.
