Originally released as a X360 exclusive, Alan Wake is a psychological thriller from Remedy - the guys who made Max Payne despite not involved on the 3rd one. Although Alan Wake doesn't have some fancy bullet time like Max Payne, it does have a unique aspects on its gameplay. For instance, the light - you can't defeat an enemy by just using guns, you need to strike them with light first in order to break the darkness that protects them.
The game is divided into chapters each of which are presented like episodes of a TV show complete with an intro and outro. Alan Wake does share some similarities from Max Payne like its great dialogue, VO, and soundtrack, dark atmosphere, cool TV shows, convoluted plot and intense action.
Also one of the better ports out there, only encountered a minor texture flickering on trees (no big deal).
